Sport

I have always loved cycling. So it was perhaps no coincidence that I was discovered by my hometown club RSC Schönaich during the playing holidays and sent to the first beginners' races on my road bike a year later. There were also races in the Cyclo Cross (CX) discipline, in which I won my first German championship title as a junior. In road sports, I fought for a starting place for the Junior World Championships in Canada in 2003 before I focused on vocational training and then the master school. When I completed my training, I also started a new chapter in sports: I swapped my road bike for a mountain bike and shortly afterwards switched to professional training. A good decision, because I won numerous German championship titles and places on the winner's podium in the disciplines Cross Country (XCO), Marathon (XCM) and Cyclo-Cross (CX). Participation in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 (2021) was the reward for all the hard work! I look back with pride on my sporting career and the knowledge I have learned through it, which I am happy to pass on to other athletes in my endeavors. I look with great gratitude at my team, who are part of my successes. As individual athletes we give everything for our sport, as a team we are there for each other even in defeat and celebrate our successes together. We are a great community and closely bonded over our passion for cycling.
